If the interior and mechanicals are as good as the exterior, his asking price isn’t totally unrealistic. I presume that was just his first offer.

Cars of that generation in comparable condition seem to be going from about 9-12k. I’d offer 10 and top out at 11 if I were buying. If the picture reflects reality, that is.
